7 Maple Recipes to Make This Fall
Fall is my favorite season in the kitchen. The mornings turn crisp, the oven starts earning its keep again and everything tastes better with a little pure maple syrup in it.
I rounded up seven of my favorite maple recipes from Jo’s Maple Corner – cozy breakfasts, easy fall sides, and a couple of desserts worth turning the oven on for. I hope you find a new favorite here.
1. Maple Cinnamon Oatmeal
Crisp fall mornings call for a warm bowl of something good. This oatmeal is creamy, lightly sweetened with pure maple syrup, and finished with cinnamon – the kind of breakfast that makes getting out of bed easier. Get the recipe: Maple Cinnamon Oatmeal
2. Homemade Maple Granola
A big batch of this granola sets you up for weeks – breakfast bowls, yogurt parfaits, or just handfuls straight from the jar. The maple syrup toasts right into the oats and gives every cluster that golden, caramel-y crunch. Get the recipe: Maple Granola
3. Maple Roasted Carrots
This is the easiest fall side dish I know. Toss carrots with maple glaze, roast until caramelized at the edges, and watch them disappear. They go with just about any dinner. Get the recipe: Maple Roasted Carrots
4. Maple Dijon Glaze
Sweet, tangy, and ridiculously versatile – brush this glaze over chicken or pork in the last few minutes of cooking and dinner tastes like you fussed over it. It is one of my most-used fall recipes. Get the recipe: Maple Dijon Glaze
5. Old-Fashioned Maple Baked Beans
Low, slow, and sweetened the old-fashioned way with pure maple syrup. These baked beans are pure comfort food – perfect for a chilly evening or a fall gathering around the table. Get the recipe: Maple Baked Beans
6. Maple Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
A giant warm cookie baked in a skillet, best served straight from the pan while the chocolate is still melty. The maple in the dough gives it a rich, caramel-like depth you won’t get any other way. Get the recipe: Maple Chocolate Chip Skillet
7. Gluten-Free Black Bean Maple Brownies
Don’t let the black beans scare you – these brownies are deeply fudgy, naturally gluten-free, and the maple syrup keeps them moist and rich. A lovely dessert everyone at the table can enjoy. Get the recipe: Gluten-Free Black Bean Maple Brownies
The syrup I bake with
Every recipe here starts with the real thing – pure maple syrup, not the imitation kind. It is the syrup I bake with and recommend: Presby’s Maple Farm LLC pure maple syrup. You can find it here: Presby’s Maple Farm
