Maple Granola

This homemade Maple Granola is crisp, lightly sweet, and full of warm, toasty flavor. Made with real maple syrup, hearty oats, and your favorite mix-ins, it bakes into golden clusters that are perfect for breakfast, snacking, or topping yogurt. Simple ingredients, maple sweetness, and easy to make.

Ingredients:

Dry ingredients:

3 cups oatmeal

1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts)

1/2 cup shredded coconut

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

Wet ingredients:

1/3 cup maple syrup

1/3 melted coconut oil

1 tsp vanilla

Optional add-in (after baking):

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 300°.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, coconut, cinnamon, and salt.

4. In a small saucepan, warm the maple ssyrup with the coconut oil until melted.

5. Stir in vanilla.

6. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is coated.

7. Spread evenly on the baking sheet.

8. Bake 20 minutes, stir, then bake another 15-20 minutes until golden.

9. Cool completely, it gets crisp as it cools.

10. Stir in dried fruit or chocolate chips if using.

Notes:

For an extra crunch, add 1/4 cup sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds before baking.
