Our family has been making maple syrup for generations.   It seems to be in the blood!  Most family members started with very small operations and then grew and grew. Some are now making a decent income.

For the last number of years, I have worked with small businesses helping them with the business skills that they needed to run their small businesses.  I watched many small businesses grow and prosper as they used the information that I shared with them.

It occurred to me that the maple syrup industry could use some help with the transition from hobbyist to business, so Maple Syrup Business was started.

Most of the information here will, also, pertain to any small business, so don’t shy away just because you have not yet been bitten by the maple syrup bug!
